Which Nuki access solutions are compatible with the Keypad 2?

Accepted Answer

The Keypad 2 is compatible with all generations and variants of the Nuki Smart Lock as well as the Smart Door. Additionally, the Keypad 2 is also compatible with the Nuki Opener. However, due to the physical limitations of Bluetooth and the often greater distance between the front door and intercom, we cannot guarantee proper functionality.

Do I need remote access to my other Nuki devices in order to use the Keypad 2?

Accepted Answer

The Keypad 2 is connected to your Nuki access solution via Bluetooth and therefore independent of the Nuki Bridge, built-in Wi-Fi module, or Remote Access via Thread. However, if you have remote access to your Nuki Smart Lock or Nuki Smart Door, you can also assign entry codes to your Keypad 2 remotely. The codes are stored directly on your access solution.

How do I install the Nuki Keypad 2?

The Nuki Keypad 2 is mounted on the outside of your front door. You can either stick it to the door frame or screw it to the wall. The necessary mounting material (adhesive strips, screws and wall plugs) can be found in the package insert. Nuki Keypad 2 is battery-operated, so you do not need to connect any wires or cables during installation.

Is the Keypad 2 suitable for outdoor use?

Nuki Keypad 2 is protected in accordance with IP 54 and is therefore dust and water resistant. It can also withstand temperatures between -20 and +70 degrees Celsius. When installed correctly, it is suitable for unprotected outdoor areas.

How is my Nuki Keypad 2 protected against theft?

Because Nuki Keypad 2 is mounted outside in your entrance area, it’s visible to people outside.Should your Nuki Keypad 2 be stolen, we offer you a theft replacement guarantee. Just send us a copy of your loss report (issued by the police) and proof of ownership (original invoice) of your Keypad 2. Once we’ve received your documents, we’ll send you a free replacement product. More information can be found in the support section.
