How do I install the Nuki Keypad?

Accepted Answer

The Nuki Keypad is mounted outside your front door. You can either glue it to the door frame or screw it onto the front of the house. The required mounting accessories (adhesive strips, screws and dowels) are included in the package. The Nuki Keypad is battery-powered so there are no wires or cables to connect.

Do I need remote access to use the Keypad?

The Keypad is connected to your Smart Lock via Bluetooth. If you have remote access to your Smart Lock, you can also assign access codes to your Keypad while on the go. If you want to assign a new fingerprint, you need to be in Bluetooth reach of your devices.

Can an access code or fingerprint be time-restricted?

Accepted Answer

Yes. An access code or fingerprint works like an access authorization that you assign in the Nuki app. This means it can be managed and time-limited at any time in the user management of the Nuki app.

Can the Keypad be connected to multiple Smart Locks simultaneously?

Accepted Answer

No. The Keypad can only be connected to one Smart Lock at a time. If you want to connect it to a new device, the connection to the old device must be deleted.

Is the Keypad 2 suitable for outdoor use?

Accepted Answer

The Nuki Keypad 2 is protected in accordance with IP 54 and is therefore dust and water resistant. It can also withstand temperatures between -4° and 158° Fahrenheit. When installed correctly, it is therefore also suitable for unprotected outdoor areas.

How is my Nuki Keypad protected against theft?

Accepted Answer

Because the Nuki Keypad is mounted on the outside of your front door, it’s visible to people outside. Should your Nuki Keypad be stolen, we offer you a theft replacement guarantee. Just send us a copy of your loss report (issued by the police) and proof of ownership (original invoice) of your Keypad. Once we’ve received your documents, we’ll send you a free replacement product.
