As a Senior Platform Engineer (f/m/d) you are part of our Product & Tech Department and will also take our infrastructure to the next level by utilising the latest technologies. You will play a central role in setting up, operating, and monitoring our IT infrastructure to prevent outages and ensure high availability for our users. This will give you the chance to actively shape the future of Nuki.

Your Role

  • You build a stable Kubernetes infrastructure using Infrastructure-as-Code which ensures a smooth operation of the software.
  • You coordinate with the development teams to ensure efficiency and optimal scalability of the software.
  • You build a strong ‘Internal Developer Platform’ to make our development even faster and more secure.
  • Together with our SRE, you drive proactive monitoring to maintain a clear overview of our platforms.
  • You always keep an eye on security and data protection to maintain a high level of security for our customers.

Job Requirements

  • You have at least 5 years of experience in system administration and/or platform engineering and have completed a technical education (e.g. Technical University, Technical College, or similar).
  • You bring extensive experience with Windows and Linux servers.
  • You have a solid knowledge of networking, routing, and firewalls, including log analysis.
  • You are familiar with frameworks such as Terraform, Ansible, Docker, and Kubernetes.
  • You have experience with monitoring systems like Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, and Alertmanager.
  • You possess basic knowledge of databases such as MySQL and MongoDB.
  • Ideally, you know security best practices in both cloud and on-premise environments.
  • Experience in development workflows as well as GitOps and DevOps principles is a plus.
  • You are willing to participate in on-call duties.
  • You are flexible, show  strong commitment to continuous improvement and focus on what is possible.

For the advertised position, a minimum salary of € 3,724.00 gross per month applies according to the collective agreement (no all-in). Willingness to significantly overpay if you have the appropriate qualifications. This position is open for applications in Graz.
