Nuki Smart Lock Ultra wins prestigious distinction just days after launch
Graz (Austria), November 15, 2024

Nuki, Europe’s category leader in smart access solutions, has been named an honoree in the 2025 CES Innovation Awards® in the Smart Home category for its groundbreaking launch of the Smart Lock Ultra.
Recognized for its exceptional design and cutting-edge technical features, Nuki’s Smart Lock Ultra is the fastest, smallest and most powerful smart lock ever developed by the company, combining superior hardware quality, integration capabilities and stylish aesthetics. In addition to announcing its recognition by the CES Innovation Awards, Nuki today also officially announced plans to enter the U.S. market in 2025 – representing another massive step forward on the brand’s journey to becoming the world’s most trusted smart lock company.
Nuki products are crafted in Europe, abiding by the highest production standards and requirements – and the Smart Lock Ultra is no exception. The latest Nuki Smart Lock allows users to unlock their door conveniently and automatically in under one second. This remarkable performance is enabled by cutting-edge brushless motor technology – used in a Nuki Smart Lock for the first time – offering the efficiency, durability and performance commonly found in electric vehicles. Nuki played a pioneering role with the launch of the world's first electronic door lock with native Matter support in 2023, and features expanded compatibility with other smart home platforms including Apple Home, Amazon Alexa, Google Home, Samsung SmartThings and more – making home entry part of a seamless connected home experience. Building on its predecessor generation, additional enhancements made to the Smart Lock Ultra include faster charging with a lithium polymer battery, superior data migration flow, a premium Universal Cylinder for enhanced security, and easy DIY installation in 15 minutes.
A true labor of love
“We are incredibly proud to be recognized as an honoree by the CES 2025 Innovation Awards, as well as to announce our plans to introduce Nuki to the US market later this year,” said Martin Pansy, Co-Founder and CEO of Nuki. “Development of the Smart Lock Ultra was a true labor of love, and recognition from CES validates the hard work and dedication of our team over the past four years. We founded Nuki on the vision of revolutionizing the smart access solutions industry with innovation and convenience, and we can’t wait to share this with the world as we continue to grow.”
Receiving prestigious honors from the 2025 CES Innovation Awards stamps an exclamation point on a pivotal and highly successful 2024 for Nuki. On the heels of the European launch of the Smart Lock Ultra in November, which was met with universal acclaim from key industry experts, journalists and customers alike, Nuki is excited to announce its plans to expand into the U.S. market in 2025. Designed to integrate seamlessly with U.S. deadbolts, Nuki’s premium, elegantly-designed hardware and best-in-class software will make its debut to American consumers later this year. Nuki is eager to offer the U.S. the same level of convenience and security that has established the company as a leader in smart access solutions across Europe, and more information on Nuki’s plans for its U.S. rollout will be announced in the coming months.
