Nuki takes privacy very seriously. We recognize that our customers, visitors, users want to know what information we collect and how we use it. That is why we provide this Privacy Notice to help you make an informed decision about whether you want to use or continue using Nuki websites, Nuki applications and other Nuki services ("Nuki Services").
The information Nuki collects: Information you provide:
When you use Nuki Services you provide certain information (such as your phone number, password, email address, location data) to Nuki. You also allow access to information on your phone (contact list, location data) when choosing to use Nuki Services. Depending on the type of Nuki Service, this information may be transmitted, stored and used to provide you with a better experience.
When using Nuki Services you may generate usage data (including, but not limited to door lock status changes, invitations to new users). This data is encrypted and sent via SSL or similar encryption mechanics, ensuring the maximum security for your data. We may maintain information associated with this data, such as the date and time of transaction, and type of the message. None of the information that you generate is ever made public, unless you explicitly opt-in for that.
Like many websites Nuki may use "cookies" when you visit or use Nuki Services. A cookie is a small text file that uniquely identifies your browser. Nuki uses secure cookies for the Nuki applications that means the cookie is always encrypted when transmitting from client to server. Most Internet browsers automatically accept cookies. You can adjust your browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent. However the Nuki Services may not work properly when cookies are disabled.
Log file information:
When you use Nuki Services, our servers automatically collect information. Log file information may include information such as Internet Protocol ("IP") addresses, browser type, browser language, date and time, what features you use and for how long, "cookies", the type and unique number of the device you use to access the Nuki Service, your connection type and other information regarding your use of the service.
We may keep track of your interaction with the links we use in mails and updates. We do this in order to improve the Nuki Services.
The use of the information collected:
In general, we use the information we collect to operate, maintain and provide to you the Nuki Services. We also try to improve and personalize your use of Nuki Services based on this information. In addition, we may use your personal information to inform you about developments of the Nuki Services (e.g. notifying you about major updates of the Nuki service) and promotional activities carried out by Nuki. We also use the information that we collect for analyzing user preferences and for reporting. This allows us to improve the Nuki Services, create new features, promotions and identify technical problems.
Third party services:
Nuki uses a variety of services hosted by third parties to help provide and improve our Services, such as Google Analytics. These services may collect information sent by your Internet browser such as "cookies" or your IP request. Google’s use of this data is governed by the Google Analytics Terms of Service
Your control over your personal information
You may, of course, decline to submit personal information through Nuki Services. However, Nuki may not be able to offer certain services to you. We take reasonable measures to protect your privacy (such as verifying your mobile number when creating an account) in order to identify your identity before granting you access to an account.

Nuki will take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the security of your personal information against loss, misuse and unlawful behavior. This includes appropriate encryption, secure storage of your information on Nuki servers, and limited access to authorized employees only. However, be informed that we cannot eliminate completely all security risks associated with storage and data transmission.
Accessing and modifying your personal information
If you have a Nuki account, you are able to access and modify your personal information provided to us anytime.
