Which Nuki access solutions are compatible with the Nuki Door Sensor?

All Smart Lock variants from the 3rd generation onwards can be connected to the Nuki Door Sensor. The Nuki Door Sensor is available separately. Since the Nuki Door Sensor communicates with the Nuki Smart Lock via Bluetooth, it is currently not possible to use the door sensor with older versions of the Smart Lock.

How do I install the Nuki Door Sensor and set it up?

Nuki Door Sensor consists of two separate parts: a magnet and a magnetic sensor. This sensor makes it possible to reliably detect the status of the door (open/closed). The magnetic sensor is stuck to the door frame on the inside of your front door. The magnet is attached to the door. Setup (activation or calibration) is carried out via the Nuki App. Simply follow the instructions. You can also view the status of your door sensor via Nuki Web. However, the door sensor can only be set up via the Nuki App because you must be within Bluetooth range of your Smart Lock.

How is the door sensor status displayed in the Nuki App?

In addition to the usual screens for ‘unlocked’ and ‘locked’, the door status (open/closed) is now also displayed in the Nuki App. If you have remote access to your Smart Lock, you can also automatically see the door status in the Nuki App when you are on the move.

How often do I need to change the battery?

Your Nuki Door Sensor is powered by a 3.6V lithium battery (½ AA ER14250), which is included in the scope of delivery.The battery level is displayed in the Nuki App. If the battery level drops to 20%, the Nuki App reminds you to change the door sensor battery. You can easily do it yourself.
Nuki Door Sensor and Smart Lock are extremely energy-efficient. Nuki Door Sensor has a battery life of around two years.
