The Challenge

Before switching to Nuki, residir relied on key safes or manual handovers for example via  nearby restaurants. Their cleaning company had access to spare keys, but guests frequently lost keys or requested multiple copies — increasing both the risk and workload. In some buildings, key safes weren't allowed at all, making consistent and secure access a challenge.

The Solution

To overcome these pain points, residir equipped the majority of its properties with a Nuki Smart Lock, including a Nuki Keypad and Smart Hosting service. Thanks to seamless integration with their channel manager software, individual, time-restricted PIN codes are now automatically generated and sent to guests — no manual effort required. For some of the bigger houses, residir also uses the Nuki Opener, for a seamless keyless access also for the main entrance door of the building.
