As the Head of Hardware Engineering (f/m/d), you will lead a dedicated team of hardware and quality engineers driving innovation and excellence in our hardware product portfolio. With your track record of successfully leading hardware development projects, you steer the development of our hardware products while collaborating with internal and external stakeholders. In this role, you have the opportunity to actively contribute to the ongoing development of our product portfolio and shape the future of Nuki.

• You manage and lead the hardware engineering team, setting clear objectives and fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
• You drive the development of next-generation smart home hardware products with focus on mechanical engineering.
• You collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and execute the hardware product strategy.
• You oversee the quality assurance and testing processes to ensure products meet high standards of reliability, safety, and performance.
• You collaborate with external partners, suppliers, and manufacturers to source components and services necessary for hardware development.
• You manage the hardware engineering budget, ensuring efficient resource allocation and cost control.
• You ensure that all hardware products meet relevant industry standards, certifications, and compliance requirements.

• You have a minimum of 5 years of professional experience in a comparable position and hold a completed higher technical education (university/university of applied sciences, etc.).
• You have a proven track record of leading teams with more than 5 employees, ideally in a fast-growing company.
• You are experienced in the development and industrialization of mechanical mass-production products.
• You have worked with partners for the production of plastic and/or metal parts.
• You are familiar with structured development and product release processes.
• You have the willingness to take on responsibility, go the extra mile, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• You have a high level of proficiency in English and German and can communicate in both languages in a business context.
• You demonstrate flexibility in your thinking and actions and continuously strive for improvement.

For the advertised position, a minimum salary of € 4,346.00 gross per month applies according to the collective agreement (no all-in). Willingness to significantly overpay if you have the appropriate qualifications. This position is open for applications in Graz.
