As a Senior Backend Web Developer (f/m/d) at Nuki, you will be focusing on developing, scaling, and maintaining our backend systems with a primary focus on Node.js environments. You will play a crucial role in advancing our established SRE practices, ensuring the resilience, scalability, and efficiency of our applications, particularly our e-commerce platforms, utilizing Docker, Kubernetes, and other SRE practices to enhance our operational capabilities and reliability. This will give you the chance to actively shape the future of Nuki.

• You develop, scale, and maintain robust backend systems using Node.js.
• You implement and manage containerization and orchestration with Docker and Kubernetes.
• You drive the adoption of best practices in site reliability and ensure high availability and performance of our services.
• You participate in system design consulting, platform management, and capacity planning.
• You oversee the automation of deployment processes and ensure seamless, zero-downtime deployments in a continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) environment.
• You monitor service health, respond to incidents, and proactively address potential issues before they impact services.
• You collaborate with cross-functional teams to align backend systems with business needs and ensure comprehensive system integration with APIs and external services.
• You contribute to and evolve our existing SRE practice, leveraging your expertise to enhance and streamline our operational processes.

• You bring a minimum of 5 years of experience in backend development with extensive knowledge in Node.js.
• You are experienced in Kubernetes and Docker.
• You have a proven track record in Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices and principles.
• You are strongly familiar with continuous integration tools and frameworks (e.g. Git, Azure DevOps).
• Ideally, you bring experience in developing and scaling e-commerce solutions.
• You have strong problem-solving skills and a quality-focused mindset with attention to detail.
• You are proficient in English and/or German.
• Experience with headless e-commerce platforms, server administration, and advanced containerization techniques is a plus.

For the advertised position, a minimum salary of € 3,724.00 gross per month applies according to the collective agreement (no all-in). Willingness to significantly overpay if you have the appropriate qualifications. This position is open for applications in Graz.
